Physics is the study of the properties and interactions of matter and energy. Our understanding of many of the features of the world around us relies on the knowledge drawn from the ideas and methods of physics.
In the first and second form, physics is taught as part of a combined science course, but from the third form onwards, as a separate subject. At GCSE, pupils follow the OCR 'Gateway' syllabus and at A-level, pupils study the Advancing Physics course.
At all levels, we hope that pupils gain an appreciation and understanding of the subject through an enjoyable mix of experiments, demonstrations, discussion and questions.
