In the fourth form, pupils continue developing their science skills and understanding; building on the work covered in the third form.

At present, GCSE coursework contributes a significant 33% towards the final grade. Practical skills are assessed by carrying out 'Can Do' tasks during normal experimental work. Research and analysis skills are assessed with a 'Science in the News ' writing task.
