Aspects of the Seven Sacraments are taught in each year, as are themes related to the Liturgical Year.

 

Elements of the statutory Citizenship Education Programmes and Sex and Relationships Education are incorporated into R.E. Schemes of Work where appropriate.

 
 

Fourth and Fifth-Forms  (Key Stage 4)

Pupils are prepared and entered for the Edexcel GCSE Religious Studies Specification A, Options C (Religion and Life according to Catholic Christianity) and J (Catholic Christianity). Assessment is by 100% terminal examination.

Sixth-Form

 

General Religious Education

General R.E. is compulsory for all Sixth Form pupils, except those studying AS, A1 (Lower Sixth) or A2 (Upper Sixth) Theology (Religious Studies).

 

Pupils are registered for the National Open College Network’s Certificate in Religious Education (Level 1 in the LVI & Level 2 in the UVI).
