Since the launch of the Parental Contribution Scheme in January 2000, many parents have written expressing their support for the Scheme and this positive response has been a source of encouragement for all at the school.
Naturally, the Governors and the Headmaster are very grateful to parents for their generous support and the Chairman of Trustees of the Friends has written to thank Parents for their continued support:
Dear Parents,
As Chairman of Trustees of The Friends of The London Oratory School (FLOS), I write to express our most sincere gratitude for the contributions you continue to make to the Parental Contribution Scheme.
We are very grateful that in these difficult financial times parents of pupils continue to support the school through their generous donations. We are only too aware that these contributions are voluntary and we rely on the goodwill of so many parents.
This year we focused on larger capital projects for the school and one of these was the major refurbishment of the main kitchen, which has improved the catering on offer and provision available to pupils. The project also included new equipment for the Houseroom serveries where there are new larger hot and cold counters. Future consideration is being given to projects for the Design Technology department and new equipment for the Fitness Centre in the PE department.
The Trustees of the FLOS believe it is vital that the FLOS continue to support the school. The school had its plans for regeneration and refurbishment through the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme fall victim to the cutbacks in education expenditure. We understand that the school has started developing a Master Plan for the school site and buildings and the plans which were drawn up a few years ago for BSF are being revisited. Much of the work being considered is well overdue. The Trustees consider it extremely important to be in a position to help the School realise some of these plans.
We are delighted that The London Oratory School continues to maintain its high standards of teaching, first-rate co-curricular opportunities and excellent examination results, and we thank you for the important part which you play in achieving this.
With kindest regards,
Yours sincerely
A.W.E. Rammelt KSG

The Governors would also like to extend their thanks to parents and hope that we shall continue to enjoy your generous support for this scheme to enable us to maintain the highest standards at the school.
