Head of School - Finlay Martin
I joined the school as a small and excited 11 year old, nervous about the prospect of being at ‘big school’. Thankfully, I needn’t have worried as the school’s welcoming ethos and atmosphere helped my transition as I very quickly felt that I belonged. What really helped my sense of belonging was being able to get involved in a huge cross-section of activities across the school, enabling a gradual intellectual development and increasing maturity, becoming more aware of myself and others in the process. My sense of belonging has also been enhanced by the fact that the Oratory is a close, tight knit community and a sense of pride emanates from all those who help make the school tick. I realise how privileged I am to have had such a rewarding experience and high quality education,
and have made lifelong friends in the process.
